After his studies under Claude Delangle at Paris Conservatoire both in soloist and chamber music, Géraud Etrillard is Currently a member of France's Orchestra of the Republican Guard, playing the baritone saxophone.
He is regularly invited to play with the Orchestre de Paris, Malher Chamber Orchestra, UBS Verbier Orchestra, Orchestre National de France...working under the baton of many great conductors such as Boulez, Gergiev, Harding, Sado, Jaarvi, Eschenbach, Dutoit...
Very keen on contemporary creation, this saxophonist performs with the Diagonal, Arcema or L'Itinéraire ensembles and also sollicits numerous composers with his friends from the Axone saxophone quartet and the Squillante Ensemble.
Laureate from the Adolphe Sax International competition in Dinant (Belgium) in 2002, he is now a professor at the Conservatoire W.A. Mozart in Paris.
