Chun-Hao KU (b.1981, Taipei, Taiwan) is a member of the Taipei Philharmonic Chamber Society and a pointed saxophonist of NTSO (National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra) and PMM (Philharmonia Moment Musicaux). Mr. Ku is also the principal organiser of the TSPO ISaxo Workshop Project and was the host of the 1st TSPO I-Saxo International Saxophone Symposium in Taipei, 2014.
He was awarded a Bachelor degree of Saxophone Performance from Tunghai University, Taiwan, DEM diploma from CRR de Cergy-Pontoise and Perfectionnement Prix from CRD de Putaux.
Mr. Ku gives regular concerts at the Taipei Philharmonic Chamber Music season where he works hard with various music instruments and musicians. Besides the original saxophone repertoire and chamber music, Mr. Ku is also passionate about early music interpretation, and he has given several concerts of his own transcriptions.
Influenced by both Western and Eastern cultures, especially his experience in France, Mr. Ku frequently works on new music with international composers. For example, his commissioned work “Spell “ for solo alto saxophone by Yuan-Chen Li (2009) was selected for inclusion in Londeix Guide to the Saxophone Repertoire 1884-2012.

wo other commissioned works Taiwanese Rhapsody (2012) and Magical Saxophonist from the Far-East (2015) by Japanese composer Ryota Ishikawa were premiered in Taipei in 2012 and at the 2015 Singapore Saxophone Symposium.
Mr. Ku has given concerts throughout Taiwan, as well as in Paris (France), Ljubljana (Slovenia), Zhong-San (China), Hong-Kong, Singapore, and Bangkok (Thailand), among others. Mr. Ku has been invited as a juror of several national saxophone competitions in Taiwan.
