Vandoren - reeds, mouthpieces, ligatures and accessories for clarinet and saxophone



Born and raised in Lyon (France), Nacim Brahimi started playing the saxophone at the age of eight. He then discovered jazz at the Villeurbanne National School of Music and furthered his musical education at the Conservatoire de Paris.

He was awarded the first Prize in Jazz and Improvised Musics in 2003. The following year he won the second Best Soloist Prize and the second Best Band Prize with the Sébastien Jarrousse Sextet at the La Défense National Jazz Competition, Paris.
From 2004 to 2008 he was part of Riccardo Del Fra's Jazoo Project, which allowed him to share the stage and record with Kenny Wheeler, Joey Baron and Sylvain Luc. He also performed with many artists in various performing arts fields: Chico Freeman, Le Sacre du Tympan, Nasser Martin-Gousset, Milk Coffee and Sugar, Amel Bent, Djamel Laroussi, XLR Project, Mokhtar Samba, Idriss Boudrioua, Heavy Fingers, Albert Mangelsdorff, Calypso Rose, P'tit Moh, les Faux-Frères, Walter Thompson...
Passionate about film scoring, he was selected for the 2004 session of Emergence, headed by Oscar-winning composer Alexandre Desplat and Elisabeth Depardieu. More recently, his work on Onde P by Audrey Demaury was awarded the “Cristal Feather” for the best transmedia project at the 18th Valence International Screenwriters Festival, France.
